Themed Learning Sessions
Themed, curated sessions built around a specific question — hosted, small, and applied.
This is an indicative learning concept currently being developed. Dates, venues, contributors and activities are not yet confirmed. You are welcome to express interest — a short conversation then helps establish whether it would be a good fit.
The intended outcomes.
01
A working synthesis of the question in play — drawn from sessions designed for contributors with operational stake, not audience.
02
A post-session synthesis — shared with those in the room — capturing divergences and follow-on questions.
03
Considered follow-on where useful, including introductions to other participants where that would help.
How the programme runs.
Before
Thematic framing
A structured framing circulated ahead of each session — the primary questions, the sources worth reading, the shape of the conversation. Arrive prepared.
Inside
In the room
The intention is a set of sessions built around a specific question, each hosted by someone with working judgement on it, closing with a synthesis discussion. Hosts are confirmed for each session.
After
Synthesis & follow-on
A short post-session synthesis captures the divergences and follow-on questions worth returning to. Continued-access details are confirmed per session.
Who this experience may suit.
For
Senior professionals, institutional partners, family principals and policy practitioners with a working stake in the announced theme. Contributory posture, not observational.
Not for
Press, junior staff seeking exposure, or vendors prospecting. Sessions are for working contributors; the room is curated.
Questions, answered.
Is this a conference or a course?
Neither. It is a set of working sessions built for contributors around one specific question — no plenary stage and no audience, but discussion, practitioner input and an applied focus.
How is the theme selected?
By conversation with practitioners — the questions that are currently live, not the ones that read well on a poster.
Do I need expertise in the theme to attend?
A working stake, not academic expertise. Sessions are built for contributors who can move the question forward.
Will the proceedings be published?
The post-session synthesis is shared with those in the room only. Public publication of any specific exchange requires written consent from those present.
